A busy schedule makes it almost impossible to arrive home on time for those shows that are not lucky enough to be streamed through Netflix. Nowadays, storylines are everything and the closer to reality the better, but we all enjoy those talk shows that bring us the details and the behind the scenes of our favorite shows and films.
For many reasons, my number one recommendation for an English talk show is The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy is able to lay down jokes and maintain a late night upbeat audience with yet non-offensive content. Ever since taking over The Tonight Show seven years ago from late night magnet Jay Leno, Jimmy has been able to keep up ratings despite some of the silly jokes he plays with his guests.
Considered the Jô Soares of North America, Jimmy is able to land anybody. From Presidents to superstars like Julia Roberts, Wagner Moura and all the way to new comers such as Shailene Woodly. With a vibrant and daring personality he makes everybody feel at home and has an unbelieveable way to engange the audience while maintaining a funny interview setting.
The outside connection he has with many of his guests is very clear and adds an additional sparkle to each episode. With an openning monologue that does not spare anyone, he is able to poke fun without offending or crossing any lines. The show brings excellent references to books, music, tv and cinema going beyond the normal talk show format and actualy deciding what will be on top of trends.
